    A Mill Record

    A working watermill stands on the site, first documented in the Domesday Book.

  • 1800

    Early structure

    Parts of the present building date from around 1800, still shaping its form.

    Current Mill built

    The main mill building is constructed, giving The Mill its recognisable look.

  • 1967

    Mill operation ceases

    The original mill closes after centuries of service on the River Stour.

    Becomes a hotel
